I don't know when this was made but it confirms everything you ever wanted to know about Mr. Grogan.

Interesting----this Grogan guy is a first class F____head. I need to get in touch with him so that he can teach me this new technique of having examinee's move, talk, and not have a cardio cuff to ascertain lies and truth---without confessions and in front of thousands.

In case there are any dispirited readers/viewers out there----here is a wonderfully doctored video of Rev Robert Tilton, a confirmed con artist with amazing hair. Enjoy and happy holidays. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7FzPINJOP8

Does anyone know Ralph Barbiere? I was watching FOX news the other morning and they had him on as a "polygraph expert." He was doing a "test" on one of the hosts and it was done similar to the "Grogan" video. Anyway it was complete "BS" and as each question was asked he would say whether they were lying or not, even though the examinee was moving and talking the entire time. It is a shame that these guys are willing to jeopardize the profession because of their own foolish self promotion.

Sometimes though, television producers will allow the examiner to run their test(s) in the appropriate fashion before the show and off camera---and then for dramatic impact, they will re-enact the test on camera in the fashion that the audience finds the most compelling----the "Meet the Parents" "old school" real-time test style. Of course you already know this---but in Grogan the Toad's case, he was showing his ass.
The honorable Lou Rovner once remarked that we shouldn't "eat our own"---he may resent me quoting him in such a context, but some in his state should be researching ways of cooking Grogan-Toad soup.

ps In retrospect, I hope I didn't offend anyone with my above link to the Robert Tilton video. There are 2 kinds of people in this world---and I fall into the "farting preachers make me laugh" category. It's what psychologists call "arrested development."

You didn't offend me with the Tilton video. (I can't say I watched more than a few seconds before I got the point, though.) I consider him to be in the same category as Grogan: they're both fleecing the public.

Rev Tilton just had the video removed again----and it will pop back up again. He apparently hates the thing----either for the mockery, or his statement that he is an angel of God, ordained by Jesus Himself. There really is a great case of comparison to be made with Grogan and Tilton. The main exception being Tilton's Manganesque hair versus Grogan's disappearing do.
I wish that someone could do a similar "flatulance treatment" to George's you tube video---although Georgie's speech impediment and facial ticks are self-mocking enough.

I would think that anyone who wanted to make fun of Robert Tilton would just post the video with his voice rather than flatulence.

ebvan,

I think the voice and the gas are both one in the same.

Well, I liked the added gas. "Isn't that special? Did you feel that? It's bellowing around me, just a swirling!"

I love fart jokes....especially around the holidays. Sue me.

.....and in case any of you missed it before Rev Tilton removed the film from You Tube, here it is again----having been moved to a new undisclosed location. While it isn't serious scientific discussion on polygraph, it is seriously funny. My prudish mother even loved it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnP02230C54
